Atomic-Force Microscopes (AFM) -The Dimension 3000 and Multimode AFMs, manufactured by Bruker Instruments (formerly Veeco Instruments and formerly Digital Instruments), give PolyInsight the flexibility required to analyze a wide variety of sample shapes and sizes at the micro- and nano-scale.
Optical Microscope – The Olympus BX51 research microscope is equipped with both reflected and transmitted light options, polarized light, a digital camera, and image analysis software.
Cryomicrotomes – For specialized sample preparation requirements, PolyInsight is equipped with microtomes from Leica and Microstar. Samples can be cooled to temperatures as low as -150 C, and sectioned with glass, tungsten carbide, or diamond knives.
